Adult Formula

The Dermatologist Lipid Cream. Ingredient by ingredient.

No filler. No paraffin. No perfume. Every ingredient in this formula was selected by Consultant Dermatologist Dr Tim Clayton for one purpose: genuine, lasting barrier repair for adult skin that has been dry, reactive or compromised for too long.

Barrier repair. Not surface hydration.

Most moisturisers hydrate the surface. The Dermatologist Lipid Cream is built to do something different: restore the lipids that a damaged skin barrier has lost. Adult skin affected by eczema, chronic dryness or sensitivity has a measurably different lipid profile — depleted in the fatty acids that keep the barrier intact. Dr Tim Clayton's approach is to replenish those specific lipids, not just add occlusion. That's why this formula uses natural plant oils — each chosen for its lipid profile and clinical evidence — rather than the paraffin-based emollients that dominate the market. The difference in how the skin feels, and how it responds over time, is what Dr Tim sees in his clinic every day.

Sunflower

Helianthus Annuus Seed Oil

Sunflower Oil

The foundation of the Ovée formula. Rich in linoleic acid — an essential fatty acid consistently found to be depleted in dry and eczema-prone skin — sunflower oil helps to restore the barrier from within rather than sitting on top of it. Multiple peer-reviewed studies confirm its effectiveness for atopic eczema, with documented anti-inflammatory and steroid-sparing effects over time.

Clinically evidenced
Avocado

Persea Gratissima

Avocado Oil

Rich in oleic acid, plant sterols and vitamins A, D and E, avocado oil absorbs readily into the upper layers of the skin. It nourishes deeply and supports barrier repair — particularly effective for adult skin that has become rough, thickened or persistently dry over time.

Oat

Avena Sativa Kernel Oil

Oat Kernel Oil

Cold-pressed from sustainably grown Swedish oats, oat kernel oil contains ceramide-like lipids that mirror the skin's own barrier fats — the same lipids depleted in eczema-prone skin. It moisturises without heaviness and is the ingredient this cream is named for.

Swedish-farmed oats
Jojoba

Simmondsia Chinensis

Jojoba Seed Oil

Technically a liquid wax, jojoba closely resembles the skin's own sebum in molecular structure. It absorbs quickly, leaves no greasy residue, and has well-documented anti-inflammatory properties — making it a reliable choice for adult skin that reacts easily or is prone to sensitivity.

Shea

Butyrospermum Parkii

Shea Butter

Dr Tim's hero ingredient. One of the most effective natural emollients available, shea butter combines deep nourishment with genuine occlusive protection — sealing moisture into the skin without the heaviness of paraffin-based alternatives. Particularly effective on persistently dry areas: hands, elbows, lower legs and heels.

Also in the formula

Four more ingredients. All chosen for a reason.

Avena Sativa Kernel Flour

Colloidal Oatmeal

A well-established ingredient in dermatology with documented anti-inflammatory and anti-itch properties. Contains avenanthramides that calm reactive, irritated adult skin.

Theobroma Cacao

Cocoa Seed Butter

An occlusive plant butter that forms a protective layer on the skin's surface, slowing moisture loss and contributing to the cream's rich, nourishing texture.

Aloe Barbadensis Leaf

Aloe Vera

Provides soothing hydration and balances the richness of the oils and butters in the formula. Gentle on reactive skin and contributes to a comfortable, non-greasy finish.

Bisabolol & Glycerin

Soothing & Sealing

Bisabolol (from chamomile) reduces inflammation and calms reactive skin. Glycerin is a clinically proven humectant that draws moisture into the skin and prevents water loss — especially important for eczema-prone adult skin.
