Is it safe from birth?

Yes. Ovée Baby & Child Moisturising Cream is formulated specifically for young, sensitive skin and is safe to use from birth. It is free from parabens, paraffin and perfume — the ingredients most likely to cause irritation in newborns — and contains no fragrance or harsh preservatives. It has been dermatologically tested and is suitable for the whole family.

Can I use it alongside prescribed creams?

Yes. Ovée is a moisturiser (emollient), not a medicine, and is safe to use alongside any prescribed topical treatment your GP or dermatologist has recommended. As a general rule, apply the prescribed cream first to the affected areas, wait around 10–15 minutes, then apply Ovée over the whole area — Dr Tim explains the timing in his guide to using moisturiser alongside steroid cream. Always follow the instructions from your child’s doctor.

How is Ovée different from other baby creams?

Most baby creams are formulated by cosmetics companies and dermatologist-tested afterwards. Ovée is the other way around — created from scratch by Dr Tim Clayton, a Consultant Paediatric Dermatologist with 25+ years of clinical experience treating children with eczema.

The formula is also paraffin-free (paraffin is the primary ingredient in many leading emollient creams), and uses natural oils — colloidal oat, shea butter, sunflower oil, avocado oil — chosen for their skin-barrier supporting evidence rather than label appeal.
