The people behind Ovée
A family with a shared belief.
Brought together by one conviction — that children with sensitive and eczema-prone skin deserve skincare that actually works.
Dr Tim Clayton
Dr Tim Clayton is Consultant Paediatric Dermatologist at Royal Manchester Children's Hospital — one of the UK's most respected centres for children's skin conditions. He is Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Manchester, and clinical lead for paediatric dermatology at both Royal Manchester Children's Hospital and Salford Royal Hospital.
President of the British Society for Paediatric and Adolescent Dermatology (BSPD) and an Official Spokesperson for the British Skin Foundation, Dr Tim was named in The Times Top 100 Children's Doctors — one of only three dermatologists in the UK to receive this recognition. With over 25 years of clinical experience across the UK, New Zealand and beyond, he is one of the most decorated paediatric dermatologists in the country.
His research contributed to the landmark discovery of filaggrin gene mutations — the primary cause of eczema and the science underpinning Ovée's formulation. He has been called on by BBC, ITV and Channel 4 to discuss children's skin health on national television. He developed Ovée because the products he needed to recommend simply didn't exist on the shelves.
Andrew Clayton
Andrew Clayton brings over 40 years of global retail and merchandising experience to Ovée, having managed and developed skincare ranges in the UK and internationally throughout his career. He has led teams across multiple countries and is a highly regarded retail management consultant.
Andrew's expertise in bringing skincare products to market — and his understanding of what consumers actually need — has been central to shaping Ovée from clinic to shelf. His long career in retail gave him the same frustration Dr Tim had in clinic: the products that should exist, didn't.
Chris & Sam Clayton
Chris Clayton is an experienced Production Manager based in Stockholm, Sweden, where he has lived for over a decade. A University of Salford graduate and fluent Swedish speaker, Chris brings international production and operations experience to Ovée. He is also a parent — his daughter Nancy's skin was part of the inspiration for getting this right.
Sam Clayton is an experienced Project Manager working within the NHS, having graduated in Leeds and managed projects and led teams in Australia and Sweden. His background in healthcare project delivery ensures that Ovée's processes and standards are rigorous from development through to delivery.
