How to use it.

Twice a day
Apply to your face and body in the morning, and at night after a bath or shower.

While skin is warm
After washing, pat your skin dry and smooth the cream on while it is still slightly warm.

Alongside prescribed treatments
Apply your prescribed treatment first, wait 20 to 30 minutes, then apply Ovée over the whole area.
If your skin is very reactive, try it on a small area first, as you would with any new product.

What is the difference between adult eczema and ordinary dry skin?
Ordinary dry skin is usually temporary and responds quickly to any decent moisturiser. Eczema-prone and chronically dry adult skin has a measurably different lipid profile — the fats that hold the skin barrier together are depleted, so the skin loses moisture faster and reacts to products other people tolerate easily.
The practical difference is that dry skin needs hydration, while eczema-prone skin needs the specific lipids it has lost, replaced consistently over time. If your skin feels tight or reactive most of the time rather than occasionally, it is worth treating it as barrier-depleted rather than simply dry.
Why do most moisturisers stop working on very dry skin?
Most moisturisers work by occlusion — they sit on top of the skin and slow water loss. That helps in the short term, but it does not replace what a depleted barrier is actually missing. Paraffin-based products in particular seal the surface without contributing any of the lipids the barrier needs to rebuild.
A formula built around plant oils with a lipid profile close to the skin's own — sunflower, oat kernel, avocado, jojoba — gives the barrier raw material to work with rather than just a temporary cover.
Can I use the Dermatologist Lipid Cream on my face?
Yes. It is fragrance-free, paraffin-free and paraben-free and is suitable for daily use on the face and body. If your skin is highly reactive, patch test on a small area first, as you would with any new product.
Is it suitable for sensitive or reactive skin?
It was developed specifically for it. The formula is fragrance-free, paraffin-free and paraben-free, and was dermatologically tested — the three things most often behind a reaction in sensitive skin are added fragrance, harsh surfactants and preservatives, and it is formulated without them.
