Yes. Both products in this bundle are formulated specifically for young, sensitive skin and are safe to use from birth. They are free from parabens, paraffin and perfume — the ingredients most likely to cause irritation in newborns — and contain no fragrance or harsh preservatives. Both have been dermatologically tested.

Yes. Both Ovée products are cosmetic formulations, not medicines, and are safe to use alongside any prescribed topical treatment your GP or dermatologist has recommended. Apply the prescribed cream first to the affected areas, wait 20–30 minutes, then apply the moisturising cream over the whole area — Dr Tim explains the timing in his guide to using moisturiser alongside steroid cream. The wash is a rinse-off product and does not interfere with prescribed treatment. If you are unsure, please check with your child’s doctor.

No. The Moisturising Cream is steroid-free, fragrance-free, paraffin-free and paraben-free with 98% natural ingredients; the Gentle Oat Wash is soap-free, SLS-free, fragrance-free and paraben-free with 99% natural ingredients. Both are suitable from birth and dermatologically tested, and both are cosmetic products rather than medicines.

No. Ovée is a cosmetic emollient sold directly from this site, not a prescription medicine, so it is not available on the NHS. It was developed by Dr Tim Clayton, Consultant Paediatric Dermatologist at Royal Manchester Children's Hospital. If your child already has a prescribed emollient that works, keep using it — Ovée can be used alongside it. Use the Gentle Oat Wash at bath time — keep baths to 5–10 minutes in lukewarm water, no more than once a day — and apply the Moisturising Cream at least twice a day, including within a few minutes of the bath while the skin is still slightly damp, and more often during a flare-up. Keep moisturising even once the skin looks settled.

Skin doesn't change overnight — the outer layer renews itself roughly every 28 to 30 days. In our experience, both in clinic and from the feedback we receive, the clearest difference tends to emerge after consistent use over three to four weeks, so give it a fair trial and keep applying it every day.
